| CaSDaR is happy to announce that applications are now open for our Event Contribution Awards, supporting local and regional communities to deliver events that promote Data Stewardship and help sustain the ongoing work of the CaSDaR network. We invite applications from individuals or teams who have identified a community gap aligned with CaSDaR’s aims and wish to deliver an event that addresses that need. Events may include (but are not limited to): – Training sessions for Data Stewards; – Networking events to bring stakeholders together; – Activities that promote the outcomes and impact of Data Stewardship; – Knowledge‑exchange or community‑building events; and – Reward and recognition activities for Data Stewards. In line with CaSDaR’s values, we strongly encourage hybrid event formats to enable inclusive attendance. If an in‑person‑only event is proposed, applicants must explain how inclusive participation will be supported. Funding available: Up to £3,000 per event – Application form: https://forms.office.com/e/KWgJxsP9UL – Who can apply: Anyone based in the UK, working within a relevant community with an identified gap or need – Event timeline: Proposed events must be held 3–12 months after submission – Assessment criteria: Impact of the event, feasibility of the proposed event, alignment with CaSDaR aims Successful applicants will be asked to provide an event summary (a template will be provided) including attendance and impact information. The preferred funding route is post‑event invoicing, though alternatives can be discussed. If you have any questions, please contact casdar@soton.ac.uk. We look forward to receiving your applications and supporting the growth of vibrant, sustainable data stewardship communities. |
