About this Opportunity
This event award is aimed at individuals who have identified a community gap that aligns with CaSDaR’s aims and are proposing an event to support that community. Events include but are not limited to:
- Training sessions for Data Stewards;
- Networking events to bring stakeholders together;
- Activities that promote the outcomes and impact of Data Stewardship;
- Knowledge‑exchange or community‑building events; and
- Reward and recognition activities for Data Stewards.
Application Information, Assessment & Expectations
- Application Form: Applicants should apply using the CaSDaR Event Contribution Application Submission Form.
- Assessment criteria: The application will be scored by 1-5 on the perceived impact of the event, the feasibility of the proposed event with the budget requested, and alignment with CaSDaR’s aims.
- Event Timelines: This is a rolling funding call that will be reviewed every two months. Proposed events must be held 3-12 months after submission.
- Event Finances: Prospective applicants can request up to £3000 per event. The preferred funding route is post‑event invoicing, though alternatives can be discussed.

In line with CaSDaR’s values, we strongly encourage hybrid event formats to enable inclusive attendance. If an in‑person‑only event is proposed, applicants must explain how inclusive participation will be supported.
Successful applicants will be asked to provide an event summary (a template will be provided) including attendance and impact information.
