This free, beginner-friendly online training will walk you through practical strategies for organising your research materials, from folder structures and file naming conventions to version control.
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to build on existing habits, you’ll leave with clear, actionable approaches you can put into practice straight away.

This session was designed as part of the STEP-UP project, which supports digital research technical professionals through training, mentoring and career support. However, we welcome anyone who works with research files to join.
There is no prior experience needed. Some instructions on how to download the course materials will be sent out closer to the time.
