About the Event
We were excited to launch CaSDaR’s first Funding Call, aimed at supporting Data Stewards across the UK research landscape. This was launched via an online webinar on the 5th November.
Event Programme
CaSDaR has flexible funds allocated to enable development of projects, forming an evidence base to display the relevance of introducing data stewards in the UK across multiple disciplines and organisations. We have created two different types of project grants that individuals can apply for:
- Grants of up to £70k funding (supplied at 80% fEC). These are aimed at established individuals and will provide an evidence base to show the value of embedding data stewardship into a project, therefore we anticipate that these projects will be more complex and will last 6-9 months.
- Grants of up to £5k funding (supplied at 80% fEC). These are aimed at giving individuals an opportunity to upskill and experience data stewardship work by completing an 8-10 week project.
In this webinar we described the development of the project grants, provided more detail about both grants, and gave an overview of the application and review process. We also allocated time for questions about these grants; these were not recorded however are available as an FAQ page on our website.
Event Audience
The event was aimed at anyone interested in advancing data-driven research practices and in enhancing recognition for Data Stewards across the UK, who may consider applying for CaSDaR’s funding to support with developing any projects or work they have ongoing.
