Overview

As part of the DisCouRSE funded project ADAPT, we are inviting a few digital Research Technical Professionals (RSEs, data scientists, research computing staff, research software engineers, and similar roles) interested in learning new skills mapped to the DIRECT framework, and contributing to the development of a hackathon-centric training platform.

We are kicking things off with ExoHack, a free exoplanet-themed machine learning hackathon. This is a unique opportunity to:

  • Solve real-world challenges alongside the Ariel Space Mission team.
  • Work directly with the ESA Datalabs infrastructure.
  • Network with peers across various scientific fields and the ADAPT project team.
  • Develop new skills mapped to the DIRECT framework

If you’re in need of travel to attend the event, there may be the capacity to provide you with some bursary to cover the cost.
