SUMMARY:International Digital Curation Conference: IDCC27
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThe International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC) is an established annual event with a unique place in the digital curation community\, reaching out to individuals\, organisations and institutions across all disciplines and domains involved in curating data and providing an opportunity to get together with like-minded data practitioners to discuss policy and practice. \nThe 21st edition of the International Digital Curation Conference(IDCC27) will take place in Lisbon\, Portugal from 9 – 12 February 2027. The main theme of the conference is ”FAIR DO’s: Centring People in the Stewardship and Curation of Digital Objects.” The FAIR principles emphasise machine actionability\, but the increasing integration of artificial intelligence systems into data infrastructure carries the risk of marginalising people in the planning\, management\, and practice of digital curation. The theme of this year’s conference acknowledges the crucial role of people in making digital objects FAIR. \nSubmissions are now open for papers\, lightning talks\, posters\, demos and workshops. Full information is available on the conference website! \nWho should attend?\nAll those involved in the curation and stewardship of data and related roles. \nAbout DCC\nThe International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC) is an established annual event with a unique place in the digital curation community\, reaching out to individuals\, organisations and institutions across all disciplines and domains involved in curating data and providing an opportunity to get together with like-minded data practitioners to discuss policy and practice.
