SUMMARY:UK Reproducibility Network Conference 2026
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nServing as a platform to convene the research community\, drive broader collaboration\, and solidify UKRN’s long-term sustainability plan\, the UKRN conference will showcase the impact of its core initiatives and engage the research sector community as change agents to improve UK research. \nIntended Audience\nThis conference is aimed at: Research leaders\, researchers\, policy community\, publishers\, funders\, infrastructure providers\, scholarly academies and societies. \nAgenda\nThere are two keynote speakers: \n\nDay 1 (Wednesday 8th July) – Stian Westlake: Stian Westlake is Executive Chair of the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). ESRC is the UK’s largest funder of social science and a part of UK Research & Innovation\, where he plays a central role in shaping the research environment across UK higher education and supporting innovation in research culture and practice\, and leads the organisation’s investments in metascience.\nDay 2 (Thursday 9th July) – Charlotte Pennington: Dr Charlotte Pennington is Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Aston University. Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. As an experimental social psychologist\, Charlotte’s research focuses on how people’s complex social environments impact upon health and wellbeing.\n\nThe rest of the conference programme can be found here: https://www.conference.ukrn.org/programme/ \nConference Dinner\nThe conference dinner will be held nearby at Manchester Metropolitan University. Dinner will include a welcome drink\, a 3-course meal with drinks\, followed by tea and coffee.
