SUMMARY:ORCID for Researchers webinar
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThe UK ORCID consortium is running a webinar to promote ORCID more widely across the UK. It is open to all\, so you do not need to be a member of the consortium to attend. Find out why getting a free ORCID iD and populating your ORCID record is key for researchers to get credit for their work. ORCID is a free\, unique\, persistent identifier (PID) for individuals to use as they engage in research\, scholarship\, and innovation activities. Obtaining an ORCID iD and populating your profile helps achieve the vision where all who participate in research\, scholarship\, and innovation are uniquely identified and connected to their contributions across disciplines\, borders\, and time. \nYour ORCID iD and profile can help you save time and get credit for your work in funding\, publishing\, and research reporting workflows. Funding organisations\, publishers\, and research institutions are increasingly requiring or asking for ORCID iDs from researchers. \nWorkshop Content\nIn this workshop\, we will include: \n\nAn overview of the benefits of ORCID for researchers\nHow ORCID can help you save time across the research landscape\nDemonstrate the latest enhancements from ORCID\nShow you how to keep your ORCID record up to date\nAnswer any questions\n\nTarget Audience\nThe target audience includes: \n\nResearchers\nResearch managers\nParticipants in research who produce outputs that can be shared\nAnyone with a role or interest in:\n\nsupporting researchers with impact and dissemination of outputs\nresearch infrastructure and PIDs\nresearcher digital profiles and presence\n\n\n\nWorkshop Details\nThe webinar is free to attend and available to all. It assumes no prior knowledge of ORCID. It will be recorded.
